This application is designed to assist individuals who experience confusion regarding the time of day upon waking, such as seniors or people with dementia, as well as anyone seeking a straightforward way to determine whether it is morning or night.

ShowTime offers a highly simplified interface centered around a digital clock that displays the current time in large, easily readable text. Its visual design incorporates a background color scheme that intuitively indicates day or night: a black background for nighttime hours and a white background during the day. For example, if the displayed time is 1:23 and the background is black, it signifies late at night, whereas a white background indicates afternoon or daytime. An accompanying AM/PM indicator further clarifies the time of day.

For users who prefer or require a 24-hour format, the application’s settings can be adjusted accordingly, eliminating potential confusion. Additionally, descriptive labels such as "Night," "Morning," etc., provide further context about the current period of the day.

The large, high-contrast text enhance readability; furthermore, an optional text-to-speech feature allows the time to be audibly announced by tapping a designated speaker button.

Notably, the app can be configured so that the background color adapts according to sunrise and sunset times, altering between black and white correspondingly to support natural circadian cues.

Please note: To ensure continuous display without interruption, the application runs in an "always-on" mode, preventing automatic switching to the Lock Screen after inactivity. Consequently, users might find it beneficial to keep their device plugged in to maintain uninterrupted visibility of the clock.
